Before joining ENvizion in 2017, he served as VP of R&D at Sync-Rx (acquired by Volcano); as site manager at Volcano Israel (acquired by Philips); as Director of software and system development at SuperDimension (acquired by Covidien); and as R&D manager at Simbionix (acquired by 3DS).

Ran Cohen has over 20 years of experience in executive R&D and site management positions, with a focus on breakthrough technologies. He has led development teams in such fields as digital image processing, computer vision, image-guided navigation, electromagnetic navigation, real-time medical image processing, computer aided surgery, medical simulators, and many more.

Ran holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in computer science from Jerusalem’s Hebrew University.
